Pickups & Deliveries
How pickup and delivery jobs work for your riders and your counter team — in everyday language.
What are pickup and delivery jobs?
When a customer wants clothes collected from home or delivered back, GoLaundry creates a job for your rider. The rider sees the address, customer phone number, and what needs to be done — pickup clothes or drop them off.
How it works from your side (dashboard)
- A job appears on the Pickups & Deliveries page when a customer books or you schedule one
- You assign a rider from your team
- You can track whether the rider has reached the customer, completed pickup, or finished delivery
- When delivery is done, the order status updates automatically
How it works for your rider
- Rider opens the app and sees active jobs
- Taps 'Mark arrived' when they reach the customer
- At pickup: adds garment details, applies discounts if needed, collects payment
- At delivery: hands over clothes and collects any remaining payment
- Marks the job complete
What happens to the order?
- After pickup is complete, the order moves to 'In Process' at your store
- After delivery is complete, the order is marked 'Delivered'
- Customer receives a notification on their phone at key steps
Tip for smooth operations
Make sure riders always tap 'Mark arrived' before collecting payment. This keeps your records accurate and avoids confusion if a customer calls asking about their order.
